How to Make Egg Bake/Eggs Muffins

  • 12 large eggs
  • Pack of bacon                                           
  • Heavy cream
  • 1-2 Bell peppers chopped                                    
  • 1/2 large onion diced                                           
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • Himalayan pink salt to taste
  • Crushed black pepper to taste
  • Coconut Oil/Ghee/Butter/Bacon fat

**(Optional) Any other vegetables you would like can be added like tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms etc.
Ground meat can also be used but I didn't have any. Just make sure to precook it.

  • Large stainless steel/glass bowl
  • Large baking dish/muffin pan

Precook the amount of bacon you will be using until it is finished the way you like it and let it cool. Then chop it into little pieces.

Making Homemade Yogurt Recipe

  • Whole milk
  • 1/4 cup to 1 cup of plain yogurt with live cultures

  • Stainless steel pot
  • Non-reactive container with lid or empty yogurt container
  • Cheese cloth/t-shirt (optional)


Heat the milk in a pot until it begins to simmer and you see little bubbles on the edges. Make sure to watch the milk so it doesn't boil over. Take the milk off the heat and let it cool until you can hold your pinky finger in the milk for about 10 seconds without burning yourself.

How to Make Coconut Butter (Creamed Coconut)

  • Mature coconut (3 or more) 
  • Himalayan salt(optional) 
  • Coconut grater 
  • Knife 
  • Dehydrator (optional) 
  • Wax paper 
  • Baking tray 
  • Coffee grinder/food processor 
  • Extra virgin coconut oil (optional) 

Crack the coconuts in half and grate the meat from inside. Use a knife if you don't own a grater, or refer to the freezer method in this recipe. Whichever way you decide to employ to get the coconut out, see that the pieces are very small.

How to Make Virgin Coconut Oil

There are two methods for making coconut oil in a home setting. One method uses fermentation and the other requires heat. I have made coconut oil using both of these methods, and from my experience the method that used heat produced a more palatable oil for consumption. 

When the fermentation method was used, the oil had a peculiar smell and taste, and as a result I used that oil on my skin and hair instead. However, I must mention that when I used the fermentation method, it was a very hot summer and I did leave it out unattended too long and didn't proceed with separating the oil until the 3rd or 4th day so maybe that is why the result was inferior. 

The amount to make will depend on how much oil you want. Milk from one mature coconut usually contains the equivalent of about 3-4 tablespoons of oil, so using 4 coconuts worth of milk will produce approximately 1 cup of oil. I will outline both methods below. 

Fermentation Method (Virgin Coconut Oil) 

  • Glass or non-reactive container/jar with lid (it is optimal to use a wide jar)
  • Airtight Jar

Pork and Root Vegetable Stew

  • 2 lb pork shoulder cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 2 small onions chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced
  • 3-4 Sprigs of thyme                                       
  • 1 tbsp chopped leeks
  • 4 medium potatoes diced
  • 3 large carrots diced
  • 1 cup of radishes halved
  • 1 large green bell pepper chopped**
  • 1/2 cup of white mushrooms
  • 1/2 medium beet
  • 5-6 small dates
  • Homemade Beef or chicken broth/water to cover everything( I only had shrimp broth this time)
  • 1-2 tbsp rice flour or coconut flour(optional)
  • 1 cup homemade coconut milk**
  • 1 large tomato diced**
  • 2-3 tbsp butter/ghee/lard/tallow/coconut oil
  • 1 tsp fresh or dried turmeric
  • 3 green chilies(I used seeds and all)
  • Himalayan pink salt to taste
  • Crushed black pepper to taste

How to Make Coconut Flour

Coconut flour is an excellent alternative to grain-based flours, but it can be costly. I find that it is cheaper to make your own. I made a post on how to make coconut milk. The by-product of producing coconut milk is coconut pulp/or the remaining fibre. That is what is used to make coconut flour.

  • Coconut pulp(devoid of milk/fat)                 
  • Oven/Dehydrator
  • Baking tray
  • Coffee grinder/Food processor
  • Wax paper
Take the coconut pulp left from making coconut milk and spread it out on a baking tray lined with wax paper. Put the coconut on the tray that comes with your dehydrator if you are using that.
